Cowboys @ Giants betting preview: Will New York move to 3-0 on MNF?

Saquon Barkley

After what possibly could have been the most boring Sunday Night Football game of all-time (please get the Denver Broncos out of prime time), we have a classic rivalry on our hands for Monday night, as the Dallas Cowboys travel to New York to take on the Giants in an NFC East clash.

Cowboys @ Giants

Without Dak Prescott the Cowboys got the job done in Week 2 as Cooper Rush played mistake-free football, leading Dallas to a 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Can he do it again against the Giants, who are getting both Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari back on the defensive line? New York has been leaning heavily on Saquon Barkley and playing some solid football through the first two weeks. The Cowboys gave up a big game on the ground to Leonard Fournette in Week 1 before bottling up Joe Mixon. Micah Parsons has this defense buzzing; in order for the Cowboys to keep this one close, the defensive unit is going to have to be dialed in here again. Daniel Jones might just be a good bet to perform regardless of the pressure. Through the first two weeks of the season, Jones has been pressured more than any other quarterback in the NFL and is still one of the more accurate throwers in the league. Couple that with how incredible Saquon Barkley has looked, and I’m playing the Giants here at home in a close one.

Bet: Giants moneyline (-116 at FanDuel)

For my prop look I’ll be going to Barkley again. His number for receiving yards is just too damn low for me. His usage rate is through the roof now that he’s healthy, and I truly believe he is back. With the amount of pressure Jones has been under, expect more than a few checkdowns on Monday night. He ate up seven targets a week ago to the tune of six catches for 30 yards, and I think he easily goes over the number in this one. His line opened at 29.5 and has dropped to 23.5 as of Monday morning - take advantage.

Bet: Over 23.5 (-116 at NorthStar)
