Cowboys @ Giants player props: Will Daniel Jones be running for his life?

Week 3 is concludes with an NFC East matchup at MetLife Stadium on Monday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys have won nine of their last 10 games against the New York Giants and will look to continue this trend with backup quarterback Cooper Rush leading their offense tonight. The line opened with the Giants as 2.5-point favorites and has since moved to an almost pick'em as we inch closer to game time. The current total is sitting at just 39.5, with little offense expected from oddsmakers. I don’t expect to see many fireworks in this one, either, but there are still a few spots to target in this divisional matchup.

Best bets

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been pressured on a league high 50.8% of
dropbacks through two games. He's been sacked eight times and will face another strong pass rush in the Cowboys on Monday night. What does this mean for his props tonight? To me, this means he will be scrambling and finding lanes to take off when necessary. His rushing prop is currently sitting at 26.5 yards, and when you pair his potential scrambles with likely a few designed quarterback runs, I like the opportunities he will have to go over this total. He has 16 rushing attempts through the first two weeks, and I do believe we will see him right back in the 7-10 attempt territory in this game tonight. With +100 odds to the over 26.5 at DraftKings, I like this prop for a unit and will look forward to seeing Jones scramble his way to 30+ rushing yards.

On the Cowboys' side of the ball, their offense is a question mark on a week-to-week basis. We saw some flashes from Rush and this group in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, and one thing he did very well was feed his No. 1 wideout targets. CeeDee Lamb finished the game with seven receptions, on 11 targets, for 75 yards, displaying some real chemistry with Rush.

Similar to Diontae Johnson on Thursday, I am once again targeting a guy who has 30% of his team's target share. Sports Interaction has a valuable line on his receiving prop tonight, with it sitting at just 51.5 yards. This discounted price was hard to pass up with some other books hanging totals in the high 50s. Trusting a backup quarterback is hard to do, especially on the road in a primetime spot, but sometimes you have to bet on the value and not necessarily the situation. The Cowboys are likely to get Michael Gallup back tonight, albeit on a snap count, but his involvement will help draw some attention away from Lamb. I like the over on Lamb's receiving total up to 58.5 yards and will be putting my trust in Central Michigan’s own Cooper Rush to get the ball into the hands of his No. 1 receiver.
