Welcome back to No Stats all Story, the newsletter in which we use absolutely NO STATS to fuel our bets. The NFL has enough talking points on a weekly basis, we use these scenarios in cooperation with Betstamp’s best available line tool in order to make profitable bets. Coming off another victorious week, we look ahead to an exciting slate of NFL games coming this weekend. We will get into those but first let’s summarize the record thus far. Our record so far on the year stands at 4-2 with a net total of $75. Using Betstamp’s analysis tool we can see that so far on an extremely small sample size, we are operating at 68% ROI with 1.3% CLV. So without further ado, let's get right into the juicy stories everyone is waiting to hear about.
Joe Osborne of VegasInsider recaps his Week 7 NFL Teaser bets and gives his BEST teaser bets for Week 8. Joe is picking up some more wins now and is looking to get hot at just the right time so he can ride off into the sunset with a positive record...
Firstly, let's talk about the most obnoxious, dissatisfying story of the past week. Yes, that’s right, somehow the NFL keeps churning out stories from Denver revolving around Mr. Unlimited himself, Russell Wilson. Reports came out that on the flight the Broncos took across the pond, Wilson was working out for 4 of them, which included doing “high knees in the aisle” while his teammates were sleeping. If that doesn’t sound like a guy fired up for football I don’t know what does. Combine Wilson’s unprecedented drive for working out and the fact that he can’t throw a ball further than 15 yards down field, and we have an interesting betting opportunity. I plan on taking Russ to get one in the endzone this week, and my hopes are as high as his knees were.
The Pick: Russell Wilson Anytime Touchdown Scorer +1100 @ Pointsbet
After an easy win provided to us by Russ, I plan to move on and make some more money, and this time by targeting some more interesting news in the league. The NFL trade deadline is approaching fast and we have already seen several moves thus far. Whether it was McCaffrey to the 49ers or James Robinson to the Jets, the offensive players seem to get all the love on and off the field. Not in this newsletter however, we are taking a look at a trade which I think is extremely undervalued. The trade I’m talking about is the extremely dominant Robert Quinn headed to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles, currently undefeated on the season, bolster their defensive front with a veteran pass rusher who can provide immediate aid. If I know Eagles fans, their mindsets are championship or bust, and frankly, I think I’m buying the hype. I’m looking to take the Eagles here coming off a bye against a Steelers team that looks all out of sorts. Let the domination continue.
The Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -11.5 +105 @ Proline +
Before I get to the last pick of the week, I’d like to take some time to pay homage to Todd Gurley, who officially announced his retirement from the NFL this week. Now I know his last few years in the league weren’t all that memorable, but what Gurley did on the field from a fantasy football and betting point of view in his prime years were second to none. That’s why my final pick for this week is inspired by Todd Gurley. I'll head back to where he made the most noise in the league, and that’s with the Rams. Under Sean McVay the Rams have always placed an emphasis on running the ball, and although this year their run game has been just about average, I suspect that this retirement news will spur on Darrell Henderson to do some magical things on the field. When the ball is moving on the ground, that sets things up perfectly for Matt Stafford and the Rams to get rolling on offense. Combine that with the news coming out that Van Jefferson might be making his season debut, and I’m all over the Rams here.
The pick: Rams Moneyline +105 @NorthStar Bets
Well as usual that’s it for me this week, hoping to keep the win streak going and get lost in the beauty of the NFL narrative. Remember to follow NOSTATSALLSTORY in the Betstamp marketplace for up to the minute pick notifications! Until next time!
