Elsewhere in the gambling world, sports betting influencer Manny Cortez is back in the news as his lawsuit over a $500,000 Celtics championship bet moves toward a February trial — the sportsbook used his winning ticket to market itself on social media, then refused to pay him, citing his use of a third party to place the wager.
