The one stop prop for Week 12

Gerald Everett.png

Can I continue my current hot streak here in Week 12? Let’s find out.

Porous is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of how to best describe the Arizona Cardinals’ ability to guard tight ends. Because simply put, they can’t. Arizona has allowed over 78 yards receiving per game to opposing tight ends this year, which would rank as the worst defensive effort by any team over the past six seasons by nearly five yards.

This week on Edge Rush, Eric Pauly, Clev TA and Hitman break down every single game of the Week 12 slate and give their opinions on sides, totals, and spreads they feel strongly about.

Now there are numerous advanced analytics and data modules I could dive into to provide support for my prop play this week, but it’s Thanksgiving week, I have leftovers to eat, and you are likely still in a food coma from Thursday so I will keep this simple.

The Los Angeles Chargers like to pass. Gerald Everett averages nearly six targets per game. Mike Williams is not playing which means less target competition for Everett. The Arizona Cardinals do not understand how to guard tight ends. Add all of this up and what do you get? Gerald Everett easily exceeding his receiving total of 35.5 yards.

It is best not to over think a gift like this, so don’t. Sit back, place your wager, and then watch Everett run wild on the Cardinal’s secondary this afternoon. Best of luck with your bets and happy Thanksgiving everybody!
